Kentucky Medicaid covers cochlear implants in both adults and children, as required by Kentucky law. As of October 7, 2005, Kentucky reimburses the following for cochlear implant services:

L8614 Cochlear implant device system $14,499.58

L8619 Speech Processor Replacement $6,281.98

Replacements of batteries and accessories (headset, microphone, coil, cable) are paid at invoice price plus 20 percent, up to a usual and customary maximum.
